Meet Your Lawyer!
My wife, Carol, and I enjoy living in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, overlooking the Hudson River. As an avid canoeist, I thoroughly enjoy long camping trips in wilderness settings, as well as whitewater 'playboating' in an open canoe. Carol and I also enjoy weekend canoe camping and spend many weekends out in the Adirondacks. Although I am a Licensed Adirondack Guide, I don't find time to do much professional guiding. I do lead hiking and canoeing trips for the Adirondack Mountain Club, and have paddled many Adirondack waterways and hiked many miles of northwoods trails. My long distance canoe trips have been throughout the Adirondacks, as well as ranging from Arctic Quebec and Nunavut to the Lower Canyons of the Rio Grande, Maine and Ontario. I enjoy leading trips for the Boy Scouts, and have taken Scout expeditions to Philmont, a Scout backpacking experience in New Mexico, twice. I usually donate one week per summer to guide a Troop of Scouts through the Adirondacks. I've also been part of a team of winter backpackers who has taught winter backpacking to Scouts on midwinter outings in the High Peaks area. Carol and I believe in working with communities in the area. I am a member of the Hadley- Luzerne Lions Club and have served on the Club's Board, and a member of the Corinth Merchant's Association. I am a past President of the area Boy Scout Council, and continue to serve Scouting as a member of the Executive Board of Twin Rivers Council, BSA. Carol is a Registered Municipal Clerk, having served as Town Clerk for the Town of Day for 10 years and as a Regional Director of the New York State Town Clerk's Association. Carol further served the Hadley-Luzerne School District as Deputy Tax Collector and Tax Collector. You're as likely to see Carol and I 'out and about around town' enjoying area restaurants, music, and dancing as camping on a wilderness island! |
